Gabriela has been in the beauty industry over 20 years. Growing up in the 80’s, she started experimenting with color and makeup at a very young age. 

She attended San Diego State University to study Psychology while being a freelance makeup artist and skincare consultant at Nordstrom’s.

She took a job at a mortgage company and advanced in Finance during 2007.

In 2012 she graduated from the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology with honors in Brazilian waxing and received her Aesthetician license. Since then, she has received many skincare and waxing certificates.

She opened The Skyn Bar in 2013.

In 2016, she became certified as a Microblading Artist and in 2017 she also became certified in Fundamental Training for Permanent Cosmetics where she learned how to tattoo eyebrows, lips and eyeliner with a digital machine. The same year, she also became a Phibrows Microblading Artist.

Phibrows Artists produce great work because they follow a very specific method that is taught to them through a rigorous 6 month training course. This course requires the artist to pass 11 levels of mastery to ensure that their methods and their work maintain a very high standard…the Phibrows standard.

Aside from being a Phibrows Artist, she has received training and certifications from Master Anastasia Gilmanova, Taryn Darling, Mary Ritcherson and Master Kler Rosenberg to name a few. Every training has taught her different brow designs and techniques. She is also certified in Color Theory for Permanent Cosmetics by published author Marjorie Grimm. 

In Spring 2019, Gabriela launched her very own skincare line The Skyn Bar Skincare. Anti-aging skincare has been a passion of hers since her first wrinkle. Only the best quality ingredients and science was used in developing this anti-aging skincare line. Gabriela uses the latest modalities with scientifically-proven technology in her customized skin treatments and hopes to leave her mark in the world, by educating each and everyone about the importance of a daily skincare routine. She is happy to teach you how to choose the right skincare for your skin type and condition.
