Microblading, also known as eyebrow embroidery or 3D brows, is a relatively new manual method for enhancing eyebrows. It is done by using a very fine blade to deposit pigment into the dermis. Because the color is closer to the surface, the strokes appear crisp and very natural.

The difference with this and ordinary permanent makeup is that microblading is not done by a machine it is done by hand. The pigment is manually placed into the skin. The microblading manual pen is equipped with sterile packaged blades. The blade glides with gentle pressure over the skin and causes fine cuts, as fine as a paper cut, leaving a trace that can hardly be distinguished from real hair. Depending on the drawing technique – of which we are experts – it creates an individual look perfect for your face and the style you are trying to achieve. Above all 3D, or HD, eyebrows absolutely do not appear as a solid tattoo.

Microblading is ideal for anyone with little to no hair wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows. The results are natural looking hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of the hair you currently have.

People suffering from alopecia, trichotillomania or any other condition that causes hair loss benefit greatly from microblading, as well as people who simply aren’t happy with their eyebrows.

EYEBROW TATTOO FAQ’s

Does it hurt?

While every step is taken to prevent pain, there may be some discomfort but it's nothing you can't handle. Numbing creams and gels are used during all cosmetic tattoo procedures to reduce and usually eliminate any pain you may feel.

Will I bleed?

Bleeding is totally normal but in most cases it is very minimal. Taking daily aspirin, fish oil, blood thinners, alcohol and caffeine should be avoided a few days before the procedure. Having your procedure done during a menstrual cycle can also make you more sensitive.

How long does an eyebrow procedure take?

The initial session can take up to 3 hours. Measuring and drawing the brows takes the most time. The actual procedure takes about 30-45 minutes total. Your touch up session is usually shorter if you retained the pigment and don't want to make any changes to the shape.

How long will my microblading tattoo last?

Everyone is different and several factors dictate how long your brows will last before they fade out. Initially the pigment fades 20-40% during the healing process. Completed brows last anywhere from 9 months up to 3 years. The average being 18 months. Regular touch ups are required if you wish to keep your microblading looking fresh.

How much does it cost?

Prices vary depending on the artists level of skill and how much work needs to be done but the average price is around $650 and can go as high as $2,000. Beginner artists with less experience may charge as little as $200 but beware of low prices because you often get what you pay for. It is always very important to research your artist and see their healed results and talk to their clients if you can. This is your face, it is worth the best.
